Abstract
The importance of having a large variety of reinforcers in interventions cannot be exaggerated. To find reinforcers for client and subtyping diagnosis for optimizing treatment - several indirect measurements of reinforcer valences has been developed (e.g. RAISD, SMARQ). The usability of these questionnaires are, however, contingent on their validity. This poster presents two possible techniques for assessing the validity of a reinforcer questionnaire: it is either compared to: 1) putative reinforcer effect on a response frequency, or 2) a single stimulus presentation procedure (a client choice; yes/no). The two techniques have been tested which has revealed some pros and cons which should be considered for further research.
