Abstract
Individuals have the tendency to procrastinate in daily tasks preferring the immediate gratification activities over other less attractive tasks. Moreover, they tend to delay discounting choosing a smaller-sooner reward over a larger-later reward. The inability to focus on future goal and tendency to seek for immediate reward can be seen in both procrastination behavior and delay discounting tendency. While delay discounting is to discount future, procrastination is to discount present time. This study aims to provide an assessment of the relation between delay discounting and procrastination via quantitative research synthesis on the available literature.
